From the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

In honor of being created equal and entitled to liberty, here is a short quiz about the 13th amendment abolishing slavery.

What? Wait a minute...when did this state officially approve the 13th Amendment?

By not notifying the U.S Archivist, this state held out on formally agreeing to abolish slavery in the state until February 7, 2013.
