December 2021 Newsletter

Stephen Brown’s Newsletter

Hello and Seasons Greetings:

I hope this finds you well.

In honor of the solstice, here is a picture from my presentation about Shadows of Chaco Canyon, my first book:

On the solstice, light is channeled through the three rock slabs that have been carefully aligned to serve as a solstice marker. The sunlight forms twin “light daggers” that perfectly bracket the spiral petroglyph that has been carved on the cliff face. I like to think that the ancestors whispered the story of Shadows of Chaco Canyon during my many visits.

Mark your calendars:

Thursday, March 31, 2022, 6-7 pm, I will be reading excerpts from “Stealing Renoir,” and discussing the art and history that inspired the novel. This will have a World War II focus about the 650,000 to 1,000,000 pieces of art that the Nazi’s looted from Europe. Free! This will be at Daviess County Public Library, 2020 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301, 270-6894-0211

I’m in the process of getting my books into the Louisville library system and will have two talks in March, one at the Jeffersontown Branch, 10635 Watterson Trail, Louisville, KY 40299, and one at the St. Matthews Branch, 3940 Grandview Ave., Louisville, KY 40207. No dates yet.

This is great news about the library dates in March because they will help with promotion. It would be a big help if you would leave a review on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09CQHJC9Q/#customerReviews

If you were unable to attend my recent presentation about Stealing Renoir, there is a short video at: https://www.amazon.com/Stephen-Allten-Brown/e/B00UGN6DXE?ref_=dbs_p_ebk_r00_abau_000000

I’m on Chapter 10 of “Stealing Picasso.” No artist has had more paintings stolen than Picasso, so he is a good subject for a mystery novel featuring an art thief.

That’s about all the news that fits. There’s more on my website: https://singingrockpublishing.com/

Thank you for your support.

Happy Reading!
